ome types of smartwatch compatibility make sense, and Apple is on a good track here announcing compatibility with August’s smartlock.
If you’re back in the smartlock trend, these are locks that you can manage with your smartphone via Bluetooth and wireless connections. They allow you to make fantastic things like automatic turn-off / locking based on proximity, remote posting, temporary virtual keys, and more. There are many in the market these days, but August is one of the most common and one of the most expensive at $ 250, with a full suite of features and a simple design that easily touches the eye.

Compatibility with Apple Watch is what you would expect. A scan and click the August application will lock or unlock your door automatically without having to dig your mobile phone. You can also use the Apple watch to see who used your August lockout and get notifications when using the lock and who is using it at the moment.
This is definitely a step in the right direction, but some work is needed. Apple Watch is not directly connected to the lock, you must first touch your phone, which may take extra time. In addition, many smartlocks come with proximity locks and unlocks that happen automatically – very soon, the swing in your smartwatch will look like an extra, unnecessary step.
